Founded in April 2021 by Temilayo Osude, a fashion-forward lawyer, business consultant, and strategist, Nitémi was born from a deeply personal desire to create clothing that reflected both identity and intention. What began as an exploration of self-expression soon evolved into a brand shaped by purpose — where structure meets softness, and heritage is reimagined through modern form.

Our mission is to empower communities and promote sustainable development through fashion. Each design is meticulously handcrafted, reflecting an unwavering dedication to detail and a commitment to using only the finest materials.
Proudly based in Nigeria, all Nitémi garments are produced locally. We work closely with skilled artisans, sourcing materials with care and honouring traditional techniques through a contemporary lens. Every piece is shaped by many hands and many hours — cut, beaded, stitched, and finished with patience and respect for craft.

The name Nitémi, meaning “this is mine” in Yoruba, reflects the essence of the brand — a declaration of ownership, belonging, and pride. Our pieces are designed to be claimed, lived in, and remembered, holding space for the stories and identities of the women who wear them.
